How Does A Charcoal Making Machine Work?

There are a lot of people who are curious about how the charcoal that is normally used for barbecues is made. In the barbecue charcoal industry is called mechanism charcoal. This kind of charcoal has the advantages of easy to burn, long burning time, high calorific value, environmental protection and no pollution and other characteristics. The raw materials for making barbecue charcoal are: wood chips, sawdust, rice husk, coconut shell, straw, bagasse and so on. The raw materials are made into barbecue charcoal through the steps of crushing, drying, briquette and carbonisation by the charcoal machine.

How Does A Charcoal Making Machine Work?

Raw material selection: you want to make high quality charcoal. Selection of raw materials is the key. Biomass from all walks of life can be used as raw materials for charcoal making. Common raw materials are: branches, logs, bark, sawdust, wood chips, waste wood, bamboo chips, coconut shells, fruit shells, coffee shells, rice husk, wheat straw and so on.

Feeding: through the combination of feeding device, hopper, vibrating feeder, conveying device. Through the material in continuous and stable feeding. Feeding evenly.

Crushing: If the biomass raw materials are smaller materials, such as: wood chips, rice husk, sawdust and other smaller size materials. It should not be crushed. If it is coconut shell, wood, logs, fruit wood and other larger size materials. Then you need to use wood crusher for crushing and grinding.

Drying: the refined material is sent to the drum dryer or airflow dryer. There will be a furnace at the bottom for providing hot air. The loosened granular material is then suspended in the air by the airflow. The hot air is utilised to make full contact with the material. Rapid dehumidification during the drying process. The moisture in the raw material can be controlled between: 8-12%. In the drying process, the material is under the action of hot air. After the dryer, the material is discharged through the dust collector.

Briquette: After drying, the material is sent to the charcoal briquette machine to be moulded by high temperature and high pressure, and finally formed into charcoal rods. It should be noted that: too high or too low water content in the material will affect the rod making. If the water content is too high, it is easy to cause the charcoal sticks not to be shaped. If the water content is too low, it will be scattered slag and so on. Therefore, the moisture in the raw material should be controlled reasonably.

Carbonisation: The produced charcoal sticks are sent to the horizontal carbonisation furnace. After high temperature carbonisation. Heating to: 400-600℃. Make its charcoal stick fully send carbonisation reaction.
