The raw material for making charcoal is mainly wood. It is best to choose dry hardwoods such as: oak, elm, teak, etc. Try to avoid softwood and wood with high water content. Charcoal production cannot be separated from
charcoal making machine. It is the whole production line equipment. So what is the charcoal production process?
Charcoal Production Process
- Firstly, the raw material needs to be pre-treated. If the material is large, such as branches, wood, plates, edges and so on, you need to use the crusher to crush it directly, crushing it to 6-8mm. if the crushed material is still large, you need to crush it again.
- After crushing the raw materials need to be dried again, the material for dry processing. There is a certain amount of moisture in the wood, and the crushed raw materials have more moisture. The moisture in the raw material should be controlled within 12%.
- After drying, the raw material is pressed into charcoal rods at high temperature by briquetting machine. The shapes of the charcoal briquettes are various, and the moulds can be customised according to your needs.
- The briquettes are then carbonised in a horizontal carbonisation furnace. The charcoal briquettes are placed inside the furnace, and the charcoal processed after high temperature carbonisation is the finished charcoal.
